Closed Public Holidays”][one_half][fancy_headline]Consultation Time[/fancy_headline]Please discuss one issue at a time, for complex or multiple problems please book a long consultation or come back another time especially if the surgery is very busy[/timeline][fancy_headline]Payments[/fancy_headline]Bulk billing is available to children under 16, healthcare card holders, patients who have to visit every 4-6 weeks due to chronic health issues, financially disadvantaged and the unemployed. Everyone else pays a small fee, most of which is reimbursed by Medicare. Procedures attract a fee and cosmetic services are not reimbursed by Medicare. Some examples are as follows;[bulletlist]

a normal consultation under 20 mins costs $55 (Medicare reimburse $36.30 / out of pocket $18.70)
long complex consultation over 20 mins costs $95 (Medicare reimburse $70.30 / out of pocket $24.70)
Insertion of Mirena contraceptive device cost $150 (Medicare reimburse $53.55 / out of pocket $96.45)
Anti wrinkle Injections for forehead cost $300 (Medicare reimburse nil)

Therefore please make an appointment when you are too sick to work.[fancy_headline]Reminder Letters[/fancy_headline]You may receive reminder letters or phone calls from us for pap smears, flu vaccination, review for results etc. Please advise if you have any concerns. It is best to keep your own diary for review visits.[fancy_headline]Telephone Consultations[/fancy_headline]Medicare does not reimburse us for the time spent on the telephone with patients, therefore please do not spend more than a minute on the phone if necessary. It’s best to come back for a consultation. A $10/min charge may apply.

They can contact Dr Rawal 24/7 when required.[fancy_headline]Privacy[/fancy_headline]All personal health information is kept confidential at the Clinic.[fancy_headline]Complaints[/fancy_headline]We strive to improve our services, so if you have any complaints, please inform the Practice Manager in writing. [/one_third][two_thirds]Dr R Rawal has worked in the Emergency Departments of local hospitals including the Alfred Hospital, the Sunshine Hospital, Western Hospital Footscray and the Mildura Base Hospital.

She has also worked with Orthopaedic and ENT surgeons and attended sessions in the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Dr Rawal has a Diploma in Obst/Gynae and does Antenatal Shared Care for pregnant women for local maternity hospitals including the Sunshine Hospital, the Royal Woman’s Hospital, Northern Hospital Epping and Mercy Hospital Heidelberg.

She is Vocationally Registered, which involved continuous education to keep abreast with latest research.
